Technology

During the lifetime of each pan-European backbone network a Technology Testing programme was carried out by a joint DANTE/TERENA Task Force with DANTE as co-ordinating partner. In addition DANTE has been involved in a number of other technology-related projects and services.

As part of the TEN-34 project, an advanced ATM testing programme was carried out by Task Force TEN (TF-TEN)

The experiments carried out included: TCP/UDP over high-speed and long delay; SVC testing; ARP testing; NHRP testing; Addressing Issues; Network Management; CDV Tests; IP over VBR; RSVP; ATM Security. Augustus 1996 - June 1998
